Is terrain texture streaming available in Basic or only the more expensive version?

Streaming is an (expensive) ADVANCED feature indeed: http://www.shiva-engine.com/features192/ (scroll down)

Hello, does the OpenVR plugin still work with the beta 8 ?

when I try tu use it this error pops out :

::LoadLibrary failed with code: 193
Could not open native plugin file : D:/_demoProjectWin32/Plugins/com.shivatech.svr/Contents/Windows/SteamVR_Windows64.dll

any idea ?

thanks !

it should, yes. Sounds to me like you did not copy the openvr_api.dll into the root of your project folder, or the appropriate place in the Plugins/../Contents folder. Please try the root folder.

in fact, looking at the folder structure now, it does look a bit confusing and non-standard. I need to revisit that plugin sometime in the future.

Hello Broozar,

the openvr_api.dll is in its correct place, the SteamVR_Windows32.dll and SteamVR_Windows64.dll are in the content plugin's folder

it does not work in the editor but it works when I export the project.
It's just a bit difficult to develop a project whithout debugging :/

thanks for your answer !

When I wrote it, it worked inside the editor. I will give it a go next weekend and see what's up. In the meantime:

- Any errors/warnings in your log?
- Did you start SteamVR from the Steam Tools before you started ShiVa?
- Do you have a mode toggle (2D/VR) that could be broken?
- Do you prevent the game from switching to Offscreen Rendering in some way?

- Apart the previous warning ( ::LoadLibrary failed with code: 193 - Could not open native plugin file /Plugins/com.shivatech.svr/Contents/Windows/SteamVR_Windows64.dll ) , nop
- SteamVR is launch before Shiva
- no toggle ( 2D/VR )
- and no :/

I see in the Game property that the plugin's windows platform is available ( green dot ) but the api in the script is not recognized,
the previous warning show up when i open a script where some steamvr fonction is used like in the SteamVRUser AI.

found the mistake. it's pretty stupid... i packed the 32bit version of the openvr_api.dll into the project root instead of the 64bit version. this happened because I am actually shipping a 32bit demo, but the editor is all-64bit now.

the fix is easy: copy the 305kb-ish openvr_api.dll from Plugins/.../Sources/openvr/bin/win64 and replace the 265kb-ish 32bit DLL in the project root.

once you have done this, you should get no more "LoadLibrary 193" errors. restart shiva, start the demo game, press "V" to initialize rendering, done. let me know how this goes!
