How to include external movies for Android build

Postby Psychopsam » 2017-09-28 04:01

Hi all,

I'm using Shiva 2.0 to build my Android game and I have two videos I want to play in h264 (.m4v) format.

I'm using this line to play them but I don't know how to add them to the build. It won't recognise them in the Additional files tab.

this.sEndMoviePath ( "file://"..application.getPackDirectory ( ).."/TurboFlickIntroFinal2.m4v" )
application.playOverlayExternalMovie ( this.sEndMoviePath() )

Hope you can help.

m4v is not a supported container on Android: https://developer.android.com/guide/top ... rmats.html
either stay with native mp4, or use ShiVa's OGG player.

Okay thanks. But I still don't understand where to put the video in the build and how to add it.

Figured out my other question - forgot to add them to the Project where you add Resources... :oops:
